The Panola County Food Pantry was established in 1995 around the belief that those who have more than they need will share their resources with those who do not have enough. Churches, clubs, and community groups and Volunteers are responsible for the operation of the pantry one month during the year.

The month of September is our churches’ month to provide workers to help with the pantry on each Tuesday and Wednesday. We bring needed items that are needed, along with stocking the shelves, packing boxes for distribution, and distributing the food as the applicants come.

Food is supplied through purchasing from the Memphis Food Bank, donations from the State of Mississippi, food drives by the local churches, Boy and Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Youth Groups, and Rural Postal Carriers. Donations are also made from local businesses, churches, organizations and individuals to maintain the pantry.

Tuesday & Wednesday  – September 30 and October 1 @ 8:30 a.m.
